ESTIMATOR & PROJECT MANAGER

Position Overview: 

We are seeking a skilled and experienced estimator and project manager. In this dual role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, preparing bids, and managing projects from start to completion. 

Responsibilities:

As an integral part of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success and profitability of our hardscaping projects.

ESTIMATION

  • Conduct detailed assessments of project requirements, including site visits, measurements, and analysis of project specifications

  • Collaborate with clients and the design team to understand their needs and vision for the project

  • Calculate material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs to prepare accurate project estimates

  • Utilize cost databases, historical data, and industry standards to determine pricing for various hardscaping elements

  • Prepare and submit comprehensive and competitive bids to clients in a timely manner

TEAM COLLABORATION

  • Collaborate closely with the design team to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of hardscaping plans

  • Provide guidance and support to field personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure their understanding of project requirements and adherence to quality standards

  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination between all project stakeholders, fostering a collaborative work environment

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Oversee and manage multiple hardscaping projects concurrently, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and according to specifications

  • Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, and materials procurement

  • Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and smooth project execution

  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and implement proactive measures to mitigate them

  • Conduct regular site visits to inspect work quality, resolve construction-related challenges, and ensure adherence to safety standards

  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports

  • Track project costs and monitor budgetary constraints to ensure profitability.

  • Foster positive relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and maintaining customer satisfaction throughout the project

REQUIREMENTS

  • Background in landscape architecture, construction management, or related field (preferred)

  • Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to interpret complex project requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to travel to project sites as required

  • Fluent in English and Spanish (preferred)

  • Valid driver's license
